I’m a girl on a mission, committed to spreading compassion in the communities I love – when a piece of my heart gets planted, there’s no digging it up.
My husband Greg and I have a couple of kids and a couple of crazy dogs. I read the last page of a book first, refuse to give up on the saddest of house plants, eat an apple every day and when I am working on a puzzle I do not wish to be spoken to until it is done. I’m an annoyingly loud clapper, a deep breather, an aggressive sneezer and a tight hugger. Real life with real people is sweet candy to my soul.
I can’t seem to stop going to school and do homework most nights. In my day job, I coordinate #capitalcares in Salt Lake City that fills local community needs, and lead the Mkhobmoakti Carepoint ministry in Eswatini, Africa.
Although born and raised in Massachusetts, I have called Salt Lake City home since 2002. I can still turn on my Bahstan accent at the first drop of Dunkin’ Donuts. I chose to create this online space because there are faH too many words in my head and needed a place to paHk all the thoughts. Please don’t judge my grammar – all the rules just get in my way.
“I want to keep living life interrupted. I want to keep losing it all - the things I thought mattered most – and rise up to tell a better story yet. I want too, to share the people behind the words, who imprinted my soul. Please let me tell my stories when they come, when the words finally do fall out. “
